Koena Mitra is a popular Bengali model and Bollywood actress.


She also has been the winner of Gladrags Supermodel Contest, and an aspiring bollywood actress. Winner of Gladrags Supermodel contest, 2002 and an aspiring bollywood actress is now looking to make acting her full fledged career. She got her first break in Ram Gopal Verma's film Road. Besides this she has done numerous commercials, music videos and few other films also. She took on modelling as career after winning the supermodel title, and later on went on become the semi-finalist of Miss Intercontinental. Some of the music videos she featured in are: "Stereo Nation's Ishq", "Aaj Ki Raat", "Akh Teri", "Channo" by Jassi. She believes despite of being choosy and wanted to taking good film roles, she decided to do Item no. in Ram Gopal verma's Road as she respects Ram Gopal as a director and wanted to start her career with his film, (as she believe Ram Gopal only deals with success, who so ever works with him would be eventually successful.)

Koena has done commercials like: ACP Whisky, Mirinda, Clinic All Clear, Maruti Alto. Since childhood she was attracted to glamour world and dreamt of being actress. And realised, to fulfill her dreams and to be recognised as star, she has to win a beauty pageant or a contest. Thus she partcipated and won the Gladrags Mega Model, 2002. Since then there is no looking back for this beautiful actress/model.

Koena Mitra Getting Face Lift

There is lot of rumours on Koena Mitra's altered looks nowadays, has led to an rumour that the actress has gone under the knife to get the face-lift. It may be only gossip, being circulated by media after the clashes of ego between Riya Sen and Koena Mitra.


It is leant that the two actresses did not get along well while working on sets of Subash Ghai's production titled Apna Sapna Money Money.

Reports quote inside sources as saying that both Riya and Koena have been talking behind each other's
backs, with Riya telling people that Koena has had a cosmetic surgery to enhance her looks, and Koena talking the same about Riya.

Interestingly, both actresses deny indulging in such backbiting talk.

But Koena's newfound prettiness cannot be overlooked. Even Sangeeth Sivan , the director of "Apna Sapna Money Money" was taken aback when he saw Koena in her altered look.

Koena denies having gone under the knife to get a face-lift, adding that she has been working out of late and her new look is
the result of that.

What the truth is? Only Koena knows.

Koena Mitra has made her place in the bollywood film industry, what if she has done only half a dozen films; but in all these films her role has been greatly appreciated by critics. Following is the interview with her:

• Your upcoming film?
  "Apna Sapna Money Money"
  
• How many films have you done as an actress?
  Among my five films, I had real fun doing my role in "Musafir".
  
• What do you like to eat most?
  Mashed Potato.
  
• Do you miss your Music video days?
  Now, also I am interested in doing that. Music videos are generally small, you get good money, these are released in short time.
  
• When do you generally visit Kolkata(calcutta)?
  One time in 6 months.
  
• What one thing you want to change about India?
  Poverty, Traffic. I think we should move fast so that people should reach at work at time and spend more time at work and with family.
  
• Which ads you remember the most?
  I have done ads for ACP Whisky, Mirinda, Clinic All Clear etc.
  
• Is there any famous role you want to do?
  I surely want to do a role like that one in "Jism" film performed by Bipasa, but prefer not to do role like in Julie.
  
• What is that qualities besides your acting?
  Dancing.
  
• What do you consider most-beauty or brains?
  Both. Those people who are very great brains, they pretend they are calm and happy but in truth beauty and brains go hand in hand.
  
• Anything that you can't live without?
  Gizmos or electronic gadgets. I can't even imagine like with these. I love listen to music a lot.
